Finally upgraded to Switch 2!

[ShuriKitty]

You heard that right. My brokeass finally upgraded to Switch 2. And it is really cool. The magnet joycons are better than the sliding, I think. And the graphics look great on TV. So far I've got 2 new games (Metroid Prime 4 and Tears of the Kingdom) and they're both really good. TotK is just Breath of the Wild but better and Metroid Prime 4 is beautiful. What do you guys think of the Switch 2?
If any of you want my friend code, it's in my bio. Please DM me first though, I need to know who it is before I accept it!

my switch is slowly dying holding on for dear life

@macnscream bro. my switch is cooked too, i taped a fan on and ts goin around 70 - 80+ degrees at some points when the fan isnt on..

The fan taped on is a genuinely creative fix — running 70–80 degrees without it sounds like it's on borrowed time, though. @macnscream, has cleaning out the vents and replacing the thermal paste ever been on the table? That's usually the cheap way to buy a dying Switch a few more months. Also curious how the magnet Joy-Cons feel long-term, since the sliding rails were the part that always loosened up on mine.

The fan-taped-to-the-console situation sounds rough — that's a lot of heat, and overheating can shorten the life of the hardware. If it's getting that warm, make sure nothing's blocking the vents and give it some breathing room, since that alone can help. The magnet joycons on the new one do sound like a nice change from the sliding rails. Curious how Metroid Prime 4 looks on the TV compared to handheld — most people I've talked to mention the screen making a big difference.
