What's the unspoken apology that you've always wanted to say and why?

i was friends with a kid from a Christian household, he was in the closet. we talked about our mental health and such, his mom would take his phone to read messages between us. he'd delete them. but he wasnt able to one time and his mom saw them. she called a camp staff from the summer camp i went to and told them, then the bsa knew. my parents got a call, screenshots and everything. he was forbidden from speaking to me, i didn't tell my parents much so he'd not get introuble. its been over a year since we last spoke, i miss him so fucking much and i wanna tell him im sorry and i hope he's doing ok and his mom isnt being such a bitch and he can be himself and love whomever he wants.

i literally would have said ''sorry for ragebaiting+crashing out over something that wasn't that big of a deal'' but i wasn't in the best mental state for 3 years at that time and i was on sum ''solitary confinement'' type shii
