I hate how people potray autism as this silly/quirky thing

even as somebody without autism/adhd, i still get mildly mad at people who portray autism as silly because i know a lot of people tell me their experiences with it and it's not "sunshine and rainbows and silliness". i, unfortunately, know three people who treat it as such. it just makes me sad since i know it's something people struggle with on the daily. it reminds me of those tiktokers faking depression but somehow even worse imo :/

@cutecoretherian (this post is purely my opinion and people's i know opinion don't take it to heart) I find autismcore funny af i love using it (i dont use it often) but I still love it it's cute :3 I never understood people who didn't treat it as a joke to me it is a silly little thing does it bother me at times yes does it suck at times yes but to me it's fun I'm happy I have it I'm on the highest side side of the spectrum and when ppl joke abt it or I see it it's hilarious (not saying ppls points are invalid I understand why for some it may be annoying) but none of them mean it bad most people who have it treat it as a joke which makes others treat it as one as well I treat mine as a joke. When I first got tested we had no idea I have almost no common sense in anything I got speech issues I'm working on the only thing that annoys me is when they call them "retrds" which we are anyone with autism is one by the actual meaning of the word not what people have made it out to me being retrded does mean you ill capable or have some big function issue it just means you're held back because of certain things it's definition is a intellectual disability which autism is in. However, most ppl use it as a insult which is what I hate. But seeing people laugh about autism is funny to me because most people who joke about it either have it know people who have it or just in general. A lot of people with Autism joking about it is why these things exist because of us -w- hwoever I do see your point this post is to no means be offensive it's just my opinion plus people I knows opinion. I see how it may be annoying to some which is why I don't treat it as a joke unless im with fellow people who also treat it as a joke cause we find it funny (I have autism on the highest spectrum I'm allowed to joke about it) but some ppl it may annoy which is why I try to limit it between ppl I trust and know there boundaries this reply isn't mean to be contraversal I swear just a guy in MOS bored and found a really cool post and wanted to share my thoughts and ideas with you :3 Have a great day my friend my bell just rang so i gotta get to class

@cutecoretherian Well as a Mildly Autistic person im gonna give my word in, I hate having Autism honestly its really annoying, I've been in Autistic classes and you guys won't believe me i have seen what most people would see as the craziest shit in their lives and its annoying that i have to be stuck with a kid who has even more autism than me...Btw i have no other way in putting that
