my guess to why women are rejecting feminism is because its now associated with women being frucking assholes to men as a whole and basically treating them how how women used to be treated. feminism means equal rights for everybody! its ok if you want to be a stay at home mom or like traditionally femmenie things, that doesn't make you not a feminist, you can be a dude and be a feminist too, feminism is just wanting things to be fair to everybody and you're not an asshole sexist woman for that. i think most people would be feminist actually if they knew what it is supposed to mean

this reminds me of a concept called womenism, which was invented by Black women in the 19th century, and is basically everything feminism SHOULD be. It's pretty cool, i plan to make a more in depth post abt it later this week

the whole hating men thing actually pisses me off not bc i feel bad for the men at all (i dont bc its rlly not hurting them lets be so fr) but because it takes the focus off of actual issues women face and makes the few conversations ppl have about feminism...ironically, about men. (like rn TvT) It's especially annoying when the conversation becomes about not all men being bad and literally just people pittying men like the conversation totally loses the plot
