im thinking about getting a guitar... any suggestions?

you can get a cheap acoustic guitar for like 60$, i know you dont want a 'piece of junk' but if your just learning you shouldnt buy a cool expensive one until youre actually good at playing (like meee ) the music will sound good on a cheap guitar either way assming YOU sound good
but yamaha and fendor (im butchering both spellings) make nice guitars, dont buy from guitar center, a small music store business will likely give you better deals and be more transparent with you abt the quality and features of a guitar bc dif guitars r good for different genres and probably will have more competitive pricing (guitar center is also hella overpriced)

you dont need to buy a tuner if you have a phone bc theres mobil apps for it but get a guitar case if you plan to take your guitar out of your home, i still havnt got one for my aucostic and i regret it TvT its such a hassle to move around

@ladiesman217 i get the idea that guitars get too much attention but theyre a great beginner instrument and can be bought for more affordable prices and most importantly, theyre vry easy to self teach bc of all the available resources online like youtube, a more complex instrument like a saxophone (which i used to play) would be better to learn with a actual teacher (not that sax is that hard to learn either) and probably wont have as many free online tutorials and is more expensive to own

tbh tho i hate getting cheap crap and i feel like im not going to regret getting a nice expensive guitar because even if i dont play it (which i doubt) it will still be a cool piece to look at

i also should've mentioned that my budget is around the 2000 dollar range... imma save up cuz i aint got that much money lol

also i feel like if i get something cheap and the sound isnt that great then i might not even want to play it cuz id feel like im the reason it doesnt sound great if you know what i mean

@haydencc08 2000 is alot for a beginner guitar, i got my first nice one for $800 i think (but it was used so maybe thats why it was lower, it was still in great condition tho)

cheap electric guitars usually suck but cheap acoustics arent too bad in my opinion (as someone who started with a cheap electric and plays cheap acoustics at school)

tbh im kinda thinking about getting the taylor 914ce cuz thats one of the guitars that my favorite musician plays
