Like, the people who are constantly talking about their "haters" like its a gold medal to have some people just straight up hate your guts
Usually, when constantly obsessed over, it is used as an excuse to ignore valid criticism.
It feels like a toxic coping mechanism that provides a false sense of empowerment.
Although using the word haters is not like a bad thing, some people do be haters or just genuinely toxic people that you should ignore, but it feels like a red flag when someone brings up their "haters" often or sometimes just straight up randomly when the situation does not involve hating.

it genuinely makes me avoid that person immediately if they do this, just putting anyone who criticises you into this made-up group is really manipulative and encourages other people to think of it as "us vs them," which is a big tactic used by the worst people i've ever seen
