i feel like this is a very relevant point of view and its a shame that its not talked about as much and that these conversations are often watered down to "self defense it doesnt matter self defense" because its so surface level and fails to actually address anything meaningful and also can be used to force this narrative that men are oppressed in this modern age which just... isnt true TvT

Its come my attention that many ppl in America dont really know about Juneteenth and its often watered down to be 'a day for black people' or 'Black pride' (it may encourage black pride but thats NOT the point, pls dont spread this narrative bc it waters it down and also lowkey makes ppl less excepting!) and even a 'stupid' holiday (which is CRAZY to say when saint patricks day exist and no one complains about irish ppl having their own day...) so i thought id explain it rq

Juneteenth became a holiday in texas in 1979 but had been being celebrated by Americans in texas way before then, and was made a official federal American holiday in 2021.

while slavery was made illegal in 1863, there were 250,000 Black people in other states who had not been freed, and many ppl moved to texas to keep their slaves

on June 19th of 1865, union military troops went to texas and notified the hundreds of thousands of enslaved people of their freedom.

despite being such a historical day, many people are not aware of its importance and impact, and that it has actually been being celebrated by americans in texas for over a century.

250,000 is alot of people, and 2 years is a long time. Many Black people probably died within those 2 years that they were supposed to be free.

anyways, for those in America who had no school or work this friday, now you know why<3

This is my queen sailor Pluto, I wanted to draw her bc she's really dark in the manga but...pale in the anime? So I wanted to show how I imagined her with color, the creator drew her colored things with water color so I tried and now I understand why she drew her lighter bc layering for a nice warm dark skin tone is hard TvT

This is sailor moon i drew it a few weeks ago, tried to mix the anime style with my usual style, accidentally spilled water on her.
I wanted to keep the large anime eyes while still keeping her like, asian if that makes sense? Because I see alot of artist with semi realistic styles drawing anime characters with European features which is fine but I see her as Japanese so I wanted to have that kinda visible but idk how I did.
The creators art style with color is actually pretty different from the anime style and looks closer to my sailor Pluto drawing

Also the anime got rid of sailor moons sideburns but they're sooo tea and cute in the manga so I had to add them lol

Whats up guys welcome to another unboxing video, today we have my drawing, I was working on this all day after school up until 10pm

It’s inspired by mellowchan, a artist who makes a lot of anime portraits and uses ribbon and cute stuff to decorate the drawing and then sometimes adds a chibi version of the character

I drew the chibi first the day before drawing the close up, spent most of the time yesterday drawing the hands and details of her butterfly locs (just for the hair to be too dark to see the details anyway TvT)
Anyways it’s actually not done and I need to hot glue pearls to the ribbons:P
I actually sent her chibi design to vograce and me previous inuyasha drawing to make them keychains for my business

Anyways what should we name her? She was originally just supposed to be Black but I feel like she’s giving blasian, especially with her chibi designs dress bc the top half was kinda based off how kimono are like folded

Would y’all buy her keychain?

by accusing ppl and tryna argue with them, your actively making them dislike your community more and giving them a excuse to not like you, and harrasing someone who doesn't want to hurt community while there are ppl who actually DO wana hurt yall

i feel like the first part applies to racism especially well, ALOT of ppl are VERY ignorant to other ppls experiences and cultural history, and willfully so, which often leads to them having [censored] ideals, assumptions, subconscious bias and ect., but i try to think of these ppl as what they are: uneducated and ignorant. its annoying, but unless your going out of your way to GENUINELY hurt POC because they are POC, i wouldn't genuinely consider u to be [censored] (esspecially with the n word, ill judge u and think ur ignorant for saying it but the word itself dont make u [censored], its the intention behind it)

ultimately, the best way to fight prejudice isnt by tryna cancel every person who offends you, its by using and spreading education and being the representation you want to see.
