Imma be real idgaf if someone says it bc its just a show of their character and it doesn't actually hurt me, and I especially dont mind when it's just genuinely a part of a latinos vocabulary bc if the environment they grew up in and they're using it as a term of endearment (unfortunately that's kinda just how the culture is in some areas y'know?) but alot of ppl (mainly newer gen actually and Wana be thug kids) use it in ONLY negative context or as a joke to be funny or in a mocking way, and I don't believe that most latinos are genuinely [censored] bc of it because I dont think saying a word makes you [censored], but it is ignorant and disrespectful and the fact that they get mad when ppl do say something instead of taking accountability Is just... Not cute

So I just started my job and making friends is low-key easy, I even accidentally befriended the bad kids at this daycare thing TvT

Just interact with people. Every small thing counts, I made friends with one of the girls just by waving at her as she walked by me outside, she ended up going up to me and we had a whole conversation I wasn't expecting

For the kids I just asked them questions and listened to them

Also sharing, especially food, is a good way to get ppl to like you, when I'm eating a snack around ppl I always offer it to them bc it feels rude to eat in front of ppl without offering to share TvT

Just don't be painfully awkward and shy bc everyone will think your weird and antisocial, ask ppl small questions when the opportunity comes up, even if it doesn't become a whole convo it WILL make ppl more comfortable with you

Not everyone is gonna wana be your friend but being friendly with everyone will help you find ppl who will! (This is rlly important especially if your like into weird stuff, bc ppl might think your weird and just not want to hang with u which is totally ok bc that just means it isnt meant to be but you shouldn't let that stop u from being social)

I've never really been the popular girl or anything but I'm trying to work on being more social and just doing that has helped me get a whole little friend group in less then a week:)

So in summary if you want friends be friendly lol, literally just talk to ppl and listen to them:P

@Laner2018 like i said in the post i have a afro, i kinda relied on the pony tail + headband combo all year and i dont wana loose my hairline so ima look for smth else, thx for the suggestion tho!

@w1ckedsticky1983 omg bro im tryna go to sleep but i made WHOLE post on the Eurocentric thing with dark skin on my old account!!!! I hate this! oki i dont HATE it but its meaningless representation TvT fire emlblems solm prince and princess are a GREAT example of this (even tho i do loveee their designs either way TvT)

@Yanderemenhera people just dont care, alot of black characters and depictions of black ppl are just people practicing preformative progressiveness and i feel like its worse then blatantly [censored] art TvT for me personally its rlly obvious when a character was actually made with intent to represent and when its just someones token character or their just now learning how to draw poc

im convinced most artist dont care abt the cultures the depict and never have:/

i know im making it sound OD but drawing ppl of any background genuinely isnt that hard TvT just be MILDLY culturally aware and aware of their physical traits/differences and treat them like normal people, they should be a genuine character before they are their race (if that makes sense)

oki yall i know this sounds silly but hear me out TvT

this yap sess is inspired by two things i saw randomly today

1. a post abt a women complaining that a back baby doll having exaggerated lips and a big nose
2. someone redrawing [censored] art and ppl saying the original wasnt [censored]

oki so ima get to my 3 points

• all babies lowkey look the same: as a person who was once a black baby and has seen many black babies irl and online, most black baby noses and even lips are no different then white baby noses! in fact most babies have what i call a lil buttom nose and the more unique shape only starts appearing way later (for me i had the lil button until i was 4-5!)

• giving black babies long hair isnt the progressive move ppl think it is so in the art that was redrawn, both babies had short hair, as babies do, but the person redrew the black girl with longer hair... this isnt rlly cool, most babies have short hair, ESPECIALLY coily haired babies bc we have HELLA shrinkage, this drawing had this baby with a perfect afro puff... my hair is to my shoulders straight and i cant do a perfect afro puff without braiding the back, while everyones hair is different, most babies dont have long hair and your not ACTUALLY representing what black babies rlly look like when u draw them this way.

• Dark skin ppl dont have naturally bright red lips!!! alot of ppl didnt get why the original art was [censored], one thing was the lips. peoples lips are usually are close to their skintone, a rlly dark person would NEVER have rlly bright red lips unless theyre wearing lipstick, which babies... dont wear TvT ive seen other vids off ppl redrawing [censored] art and giving characters bright red lips, just remember that dark skin ppl's lips dont look like that unless they're wearing make-up!

so yeah, here are basically 3 things for the local artist on here to be aware of when drawing baby/young black characters! feel free to let me know if theres anything i need to clarify!

Izzy and Ita (E-tah) which is my Hispanic side of the family trying to say Izzy and it just kinda stuck, some of my cousins dont know my real name and still call me Ita TvT

@illegally i take it back, MVP shouldnt get their own trophy bc the surrounding players are the reason th MVP could be the MVP if that makes sense
i definitely think that for a team game ppl shouldnt be so valued individually:P
but still acknowledged a bit ofc

Also idk if y'all dont know this but I've just started noticing it irl but females backs arch kinda noticably so if your drawing a girl sitting or from the side her back usually shouldnt actually be straight, slot of womens back curve noticeably

Also females have different chest types, im used to there being this like default chest type in animated media but female bodies are VERY diverse TvT

So those are extra things to consider on top of yanderes teachings:p

This one was supposed to be lightly gyaru inspired and while the vision was cute she came out chopped TvT (think I spent 15 minutes on her bc I added stuff after the timer ended) I feel like her hand came out hella tea tho

I do like how this gal came out, she took 12 minutes
