Give me a burning hot take and I rate it@Sup3rSwaggyy1983
I AM a male victim of assault, so if we really want to go band-for-band on this topic, I have a reason and motivation to speak on it. You can focus on women’s experiences while still acknowledging male victims. Male victims are often invalidated by OTHER MEN. It’s largely a toxic masculinity issue.Saying that women should be able to talk about how assault affects their gender specifically—just like men sometimes talk about their own issues—shouldn’t be seen as invalidating because it’s objectively not
I can talk about how skim milk is especially hated and still talk about how whole milk is as well

Give me a burning hot take and I rate it@Yanderemenhera that too bc many times it’s just used to defend people who are wrong or deflect and change the subject

What are your favorite Pokémon?@ilovecats2018 omg me too,I wish I picked Popplio tho bc Primarina slays
-
What are your favorite Pokémon?I’ve always liked Bisharp because it looks really cool. I used one in Omega Ruby, and its shiny form is also pretty neat and glazeworthy , which made me appreciate it even more.
I also really like Scyther and Scizor. Scizor especially stood out to me because it has a really good Mega Evolution, and that made me kind of obsessed with it for a while, not liked by fine shyt tho (you know who you are, you’re cute but an opp
)Typhlosion is another Pokémon I’m attached to because it was my starter in SoulSilver and in Legends before my dad sold my Switch like a bitch, which honestly broke my heart frfr.
Tsareena is another favorite. I think its design is really stylish and tea af, and I remember seeing it a lot back when I was really into Pokémon during Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. It’s also used by Mallow in the anime, which I really liked, so that gives it extra points. On top of that, it’s one of my girlfriend’s favorite Pokémon, and I started noticing it even more because of that. That definitely boosts it a noticeable bit for me (no glazing).
I really like snorlax bc it’s my sister’s favorite and me and my gf joke that I look like one, that and I think it’s a really cute Pokémon,I got her a snorlax to brainwash her into liking it but she’ll never know

Garchomp is really cool as well and it’s mega is pretty sick, bumped down a bit bc it’s only really known bc of Cynthia’s bitch ass
I really like agron, Primarina,Delphox, cleffa and meowscarada, sylveon and umbreon as well
I’ll upvote Pokémon I like or think are a good fav (yes theres correct answers nobody likes garbodor)
I’m looking to appreciate some new Pokémon

The fetishization of representationI’m going to say this clearly because the way some of you have responded to my post is honestly frustrating in a way that goes beyond simple disagreement.
For some reason beyond me my point got watered down into this weird accusation that I “don’t like attractive people of color” or that I’m mad because people find them attractive. That is not what I said, and it was never the point of the post. At all. Yes, there are situations where people immediately sexualize and obsess over certain identities — that absolutely happens online and anyone being honest can acknowledge that. But that wasn’t even the main argument I was making in the first place bffr.
Instead of actually engaging with the point I wrote, people decided to turn this into an annoying game of twisting the argument into something easier to attack. I’m being treated like I said “characters shouldn’t be attractive,” or that I’m trying to police what people find appealing, when my post was clearly about the difference between appreciation and fetishization and how people respond to certain identities (race and sexuality) in fandom spaces
And what makes it even more irritating is the follow-up responses that basically boil down to “well that’s just how the internet is so you shouldn’t care.” That logic is honestly so lazy. The internet being messy or weird does not suddenly make a discussion about media or behavior invalid. People talk about patterns in fandom and media culture all the time — that’s literally part of being in online spaces, discussion keeps fandoms alive and tbh idgaf if people don’t care for my point bc I’m going to express it either way bc it’s an issue but don’t go in my damn comments talking bout some “the internet is like that so worrying about it is unproductive” bullshit.
What really bothers me isn’t people disagreeing with me — Disagreement is normal and I expected that when I posted it bc the entire point was Not only to express an opinion but to get other opinions but what bothers me is watching people repeatedly misrepresent what I said, argue against that made-up version, and then act like my original point was stupid or nonexistent.
At that point it stops feeling like a discussion and starts feeling like people deliberately refusing to read what was actually written. And when that keeps happening over and over, it genuinely makes you feel like you’re being talked down to or treated like you’re unintelligent just for caring about the topic in the first place.
I don’t mind criticism, but if you’re going to respond to something I wrote, at least respond to the argument that actually exists, not a completely different one you invented so it’s easier to dismiss bc it rly shows unintelligence and ignorance and just ruins conversation amd makes it hard to educate other bc it makes the conversation have to loop back to other vaguely points that distract people from the general topic :(
TY the people who tried to understand my point ( @_Izzy_

The fetishization of representation@ladiesman217 imma be honest but I just DONT like people like you, this is such a lazy mindset to have
-
The fetishization of representation@trashghoul RIGHT, that’s exactly what I mean

Like, it’s not even that those interpretations or stories exist—it’s how people suddenly “accept” them only when they can turn them into something weird instead of just appreciating them for what they are.Brazilian Miku is literally just fun and creative, and the Teto designs had so much personality. It’s frustrating seeing genuine artistic expression get dismissed at first and then validated for the wrong reasons later.
And yeah, BL and GL can tell really meaningful stories about relationships, identity, and just… people being people. The ones that don’t make it a spectacle are honestly some of the best, but fandom spaces sometimes reduce them to shock value instead of engaging with the writing, the summer hikaru died is my go to example
Also, thank you for actually hearing me out on this—I really appreciate it. It’s nice not to feel like you’re just yelling into the void about something you care about, sorry if this seems melodramatic

What are praised celebrities that are actually horrible people@KiwiFarmsArkavel okay ur just getting blocked I’m not bouta listen to some bum bitch online defend drugging and raping dudes

-
What are praised celebrities that are actually horrible peopleMe personally I’d say Travis Scott bc he didn’t tend to the people in his crowd vocally in pain and being harmed and Also how much he unnecessarily flies jet bc Taylor swift gets so much for it (rightly so) but nobody talks about how outrageous his carbon emissions are and how he generally doesn’t make a genuine effort to take accountability for his actions even in tragic events relating to him like his 2021 Astro world festival Concert because he went online to post a low quality phone recording with sarcastic fake emotion and it just mocks the lives of those who passed from his incompetence and refusal to acknowledge the danger of the situation,in his opening song “stargazing” which is ironically apart of the album he was performing for he says “ain't no mosh pit if no injuries” and considering his concerns are built to have a high energy rage style I don’t think it’s a reach to say that he may genuinely see injuries as nothing more than a part of the experience in a way, maybe I’m reaching and I’m free to Criticism or even personal comments and remarks but this is my general opinions

What's you're favorite game@stupidguy535 dragon ball sparking zero

something i made a bit ago and finished today because im tweaking out.@TheToast I really like the rendering on the hair
-
bans@Yanderemenhera less intervention with moderation and admins, people don’t interact with each other enough bc they have grudges against other users the have minor arguments with and their arguments are shut down too fast to actually resolve the issue or come to an agreement so the users just avoid engaging with the other person and their affiliates

-
favorite fun fact?@ev.sebastian Cows have best friends and experience less stress when they are together and Male penguins present pebbles to females to propose mating.
-
What are the worst things to brush your teeth with@Jujub_811 these could’ve just been one message,I won’t get engagement if the same people are texting

-
What are some things you wish browsedns had and didn't have@Jujub_811 I wish the users could take topics seriously,it’s hella annoying for smb to be expressing and issue or even just a basic opinion or conversation starter amd being met with unserious attention seeking replies
