What would you do?

Today it was break at school, so I went to the library to complete my homework. Next period my friend, Anna, tells me how she told a year 7 (11-12 years old) who I don't like, That I have a crush on them. And I'm in year 8 (12-13) and when y7s and y8s date it's looked down on. Apparently he said yes and that now we're going out. I was really angry and upset as anyone would be and asked her why she would do that. It comes to lunch and I ask her to come with me to find him and she laughed in my face and said no. It comes to the end of the day and at this point I still haven't managed to find the year 7. I told my friend about what happened and she told me how Anna told her it was all a lie. I'm really annoyed now because I was so upset and she could tell, yet she still didn't stop and say it was a joke. What should I say to her tomorrow? Please, I need advice

also if this is something recurring with them, like they play jokes on you alot that you dont like then really re thihk this friendship

@Enchanted The problem with my friend group is that they're really childish sometimes, if there's a bad smell they'll go ew heidiii or If i'm in the toilet they'll bang on my door and say i'm talking too long and that I must be having a ''dookie'' It makes them sound like toddlers, but no they're all 13

@YourAriesBestie me personally i would still be nice to them and friendly but start to distance myself away from that group and find more people who are like me ngl that sounds annoying surround yourself with positive like minded people

@Enchanted It annoys me because when they're actually serious I can relate to them and we all get on well. It's just when they do stupid stuff like that when it really annoys me. There's this other girl in my friend group and I'm either walking on eggshells around her or she's doing stupid stuff like that, in fact I think she started it.

@YourAriesBestie then their not your friends.... just associates not everybody you spend time with, relate to, have a good laugh or talk to all the time is a true friend sometimes they are just ppl you meet and hang out with for that one period of time in your life then you both grow and move on i hope i dont sound harsh i dont mean to be

@YourAriesBestie one way ive been able to figure out who my friends are in life is to slowy distance myself not in a rude way but quietly and depending on how the person responds and acts to that lets me know also i evaluate our relationship like i know im a good friend but have they been a good friend to me? i know i try to help them but have they done the same for me? i respect their boundaries do they respect mine? i dont make fun of them and if i do its in a loving way but if they tell me they dont like it or to stop i immediately do without hesitation have they acted the same with me? friendship are tough and it hurts to realize a person you really like lot and realllyyyy wanna be friends with just isnt your person they will soon just be somebody that you used to know (yes i slippped that in their lemme cook )

try to insert yourself in some new groups take a week to just find new people talk to a student you've seen around before but never said anything too or join a new class at your school if you can and just see who's out there :) this can also be done outside of school may be eaiser since they will be your age, but there are friends to be made everywhere in the most unlikely places like a grocery store or the movie theater

@YourAriesBestie nah thats ntn my friend group is wierd asf the things they say i cant even say on here and they pick on this one short friend and the short jokes are horendous like its kinda sad and they dont include peoole in what they play sometimes even friends the excuse is either theres too many people, or we dont have enough space for (number) people. imma just stop being friends with them at this point
