This would generally be considered a controversial topic.

Modern-day Satanism, especially organizations like The Satanic Temple, falls under religion and social/political ideology, which are inherently sensitive discussion areas.

I wasn't necessarily saying it wasn't allowed. However, if we wanted to, it could technically fall under the religious talks rule. Most of JesusLovesYou's posts are warmhearted and aren't necessarily looking for discussion, while this thread here seems rather discussion-based.

I heavily agree with static, i dont see how this topic was controversial, we should be allowed to share and talk about our own religion freely, there should be nothing controversial because their should be mutual respect for others beliefs, you dont believe or support it? Ok good for you but don’t criticize or demote others because of there beliefs

Why does Jesuslovesyou get a pass? How is christianity not a social ideology? It's embarrassing to see rules enforced, or threatened to be enforced, so obscurely. It really is. If religious talks are against forum rules you shouldn't have let anyone do it from the start instead of letting your bias cloud your decisions.
I highly doubt that all the non-christians on this site see Jesuslovesyou's posts as heartwarming.
I'm not being hostile in this post, I'm not trying to force myself on anyone else, I'm just sharing my religion in an honest and civil way.

@Raven Honestly I feel like that rule needs changed- I was gonna ask about it, people should be allowed to at least DISCUSS controversial topics, so long as nobody is fighting and it's all debate, isn't that what we want? People to disagree and discuss topics? We shouldn't allow fighting, if things get heated and become less intellectual and more personal, then yeah, cut it, but banning discussion/debate defeats the purpose of a forum. Forums are made to discuss and share interests and information right?

@NightmareWolfie i think that was part of the reason behind this post ToT satanism is really misunderstood and calling it “controversial” goes to show that the stereotype is there so I think this post was good because it’s shedding light to the truth
