ive been seeing so many videos on my fyp of pp w SHELVES full of self care items, its absurd that you make content out of different shower routine scents n do that 4 years or how ppl go to walmart n buy loads of lotions n perfume, ive also seen videos of "Drawers of makeup/skincare" its pathetic. Now i not saying its wrong to own more then 1 perfume or blush but its crazy when u have shelves n drawers of them :/

I think you mean "overconsumption," 'overcompensation' means: "to take excessive measures in attempting to correct or make amends for an error, weakness, or problem."

But yeah, I definitely to agree. It's annoying for people to buy a plethora of products that they know they won't actually use by the time it expires. Same goes for fads like fashion trends and shit like needohs. It all just ends up in landfills, which is a whole other problem of its own
