i hate my parents

Every single day its actually [censored] suffocating to be around them. They get angry for the dumbest reasons and try to physically hurt or beat me whenever I talk "weird" or "like a robot" after telling me to talk in ways like that the last week. I have almost zero privacy except for my nintendo switch. They make sure im constantly behind in school by adding in completely random requirements to every assignment, pretending she's my teacher, and straight up hurting me whenver I question them. I can't wait for when they're alive and I don't have them in my life anymore. Literally the only problem in my life is them. The only thing keeping me from just straight up losing it is the fact that my siblings are really great people despite the way they've also been treated like this.

i think its like those 'extra' assignments aside from school, or they're doing "unschooling" (a trend where parents are usually the teachers, and that the child(ren) is/are not enrolled in a school, which is not recommended)

I have similar-ish parents and over the years i've just learnt to distance myself from them. Don't say you want them to die, because at the end of the day they're still giving you a place to live and food on your plate. It's hard now, but as soon as you turn 18 you can leave and finally be yourself

@UnpaidIntern My mom is my teacher she is hyper sensitive of my behavior and sleepover so I get five hours of sleep and I am overly polite to her even when she screams in my face of how I draw or write, so I made my own language using symbols for my diary and put my drawings in a hidden box, either for your lack of age you cold get a house during 20 years old although they wouldn't let you would they? That is why I will give you some tips that you really need for this problem because I have lived with it my whole life.
Earn trust from them, because the more they trust you the more they'll think you can handle more thing(s)
You'll need to act nice in order to get their good mood,
Do secret symbols for your diary or notebook,
And to more tasks to seem that you are more responsible.
That is all I can think for this situation

@Faust I was "unschooled" until I dropped out of "school" to get my GED.

from my experience, most parents who "unschool" or homeschool their kid outside of an actual online school/other curriculum are trying to hide something, like abuse of the child, or socially isolate their child to keep them safe from some sort of imagined danger/over exaggerated fear(s), like the fear of their child being bullied or them being hurt in a shooting or just the general fear of them being corrupted somehow.

obviously, not every parent is abusing their child, or trying to hide them away from the outside word, but from what i've seen from other kids, and my own personal experience, it's very often not a good or healthy enviorment.

their story does seem like a common one for a homeschooled/unschooled child tbh. it makes me sad reading it, but that's how it usually goes.

@UnpaidIntern when you turn 18, or if they'll allow you to at the legal age in your region (I doubt that they will) you should try to get a GED if you can't get an actual highschool deploma, a lot of unschooled/homeschooled kids cannot get a highschool diploma since the entire education they are receiving is made up bullshit. a GED is functionally the same as a highschool diploma, it'll get you basic jobs and you'll be able to get into college if you'd like to.

you should work on hiding things and being sneaky, like hiding things inside of stuffed animals, hide them in vents in your house or where ever you'd think they wouldn't check. you could hide things like a cheep phone or whatever they might forbid that isn't actually bad/dangerous.

the switch sucks, but it isn't the worst device to be stuck with, if you'd like, I can send links for things like mental health resources or just an online journal to vent to that you parents cannot read without like, knowing the password.

I am homeschooled using a online learning platform (at least there is a online school thankfully), it's more like they say they want me to finish school then proceed to do everything that prevents me from finishing school with random extra assignments that they come up with, random requirements added to existing assignments accompanied by a like a doofinsmartz-style (i forgot how his name was spelled) backstory about how their x teacher forced them to do random bullshit to get a passing grade, and random month-long breaks from the 'stress' that they project onto me.

I'll definitely look into getting a GED if I fail to catch up and trying to do other things mentioned here, thanks for helping with your words, it means a lot to me.
