This statement right here holds a significant amount of merit for my current situation.
@Idyll I would definitely attempt talking to you if I wasn't somewhat intimidated by your 'do not disturb' status. I am also unfortunately unable to understand your bio (it is in another language, and I do not have access to a translater)- but you seem like an interesting person anyhow.
We're all ugly little toads in a swamp. There are different toads that will fight you, and swallow you whole.
Only by being the largest toad will you prevail, so you must consume a large number of flies, however unpleasant they taste. -

@spamburger Honestly, for Do not Disturb mode I... did not even notice until now, oops. Perhaps while I was busy I switched it on and I forgot to switch it back to "Online" status when I returned.
As for the bio, I guess it is a turn off. "Zutritt Verboten" roughly translates to "Access denied", kind of an indirect signal that my direct messages are closed.
I am partly to blame for my situation, too. I do not participate as much here, mainly due to my desire for proper discourse which never really came. Maybe my formality scared some people off, who knows. I will probably find someone who matches my interests, given enough time (provided I do not call it quits, which I have been considering).
