well, how do I handle this? stop selling things associated with pride outside of it, (and be the bitch who assumes they don't like that sort of thing based on religion, witch feels like making assumptions about someone's score on a math test based on what part of the world there from) or do I just do it anyway, and risk offending someone and be the prick who doesn't respect religion? I feel like I become a shitty person either way

so I make jewelry, I think a bunch of you guys already know this, it has more or less become my job, it takes up an insane amount of time. a Christian store (or at least its full of Christian stuff) allows me to have my stuff there right? I live in the bible belt, so I'm not exactly sure how well selling very blunt pride stuff would be, to test the waters a bit, I had a star necklace but it was the colors of the bisexual flag, nobody noticed. I make a lot of different jewelry, some of it is pride stuff. and to someone who doesn't know, a pink, yellow, blue star is just pretty colors. but I do feel bad, is this disrespectful? so uh yeah, if you were needing me and I'm not/wasn't there I appoligeze. I mean I’m Catholic (or at least raised that way, still Christian tho) and I’m also LGBTQ. There are plenty of Christians who are LGBTQ or allies. It’s not really disrespectful to Christians as a whole, but some denominations that are against it might see it that way. So yeah, not inherently disrespectful, but still something to be a bit careful with. (I could prob word this better but it’s late =w=)♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥

@Yanderemenhera just do it anyway, its not wrong at all and isnt offensive, if they dont like it, they just dont buy it and its a them problem, dont not do it out of fear of someone getting upset over something so unserious because what they think doesnt effect you and you shouldnt let it hold you back, if the manager is fine with it its perfectly ok!

It’s always good to be aware of other people’s beliefs, especially when it comes to religion and LGBTQ topics, since some denominations see it as sinful while others don’t mind.

I say keep making your jewelry, but you could either disclose your intent or in this case, I would say it’s safe to assume that they don’t support that and just pick a different color

Well it may not be disrespectful to all types of christians, but the largest denominations Western Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox are against lgbtq.
