like any other mental disorder you dont choose to be born that way, most ppl wouldnt bully a autistic person for being autistic because theyre born that way and ppl dont chose to have a mental illness

and im not trying to be mean but this comment is kinda transphobic because trans is included in lgbtq bc its about your identity. believe it or not, their experiences are very similar to non-heterosexuals experiences.
for example, i had a VERY well passing bf who was terrified for months to tell me he was trans (ftm) even though he knew i supported lgbtq
he did actually have autism tho, and he was abusive

@_Izzy_ I personally wouldn't call it a mental disorder because being transgender basically means you don't align with the expected social constructs of your given gender. I believe that everyone is more than just their bodies and the s3x they're given, and allowing people to express themselves the way they choose only breaks conformity.

I think being transgender stems from personal distaste towards the aforementioned social constructs of gender. For example, if an AMAB individual dislikes stereotypical masculinity, they would want to present themselves femininely. Or, they could just like presenting themselves femininely because they just enjoy doing so. You can enjoy eating chocolate ice cream, while others like plain vanilla because it's the standard flavor. I'm also not saying that the s3x of your birth needs to be ignored, but gender shouldn't be something that defines who you are without even asking you, yourself for permission first. However, sometimes the person really just dislikes their s3x, and is why they opt out for gender realignment surgeries and such. Which, I support, because you never get to choose what you're born as. All the power to people, especially if it can help them feel more comfortable in their own skin.

Although, I do believe that being transgender could be a result of past trauma or things as such. For example, let's say you enjoy playing with cars instead of Barbies as an AFAB, your mother tells you to be more 'lady-like' and that girls don't play with these kinds of toys,' and things of that nature. The child might think to themselves that since they don't fit the societal norm of feminity, they don't feel worthy of being labeled as a girl. This can send someone down a spiral of dysphoria, but can also lead to self discovery (speaking from experience). There's a plehtora of other examples, but this is just one of them. Judging also based on this parenting style, it could be a reason why certain queer individuals have some mental disorders as you mentioned. But once again, being transgender could just be out of personal interest.

Not to mention, Autism and other disorders were only treated as something to be taken seriously recently as well as queer individuals themselves. You wouldn't bully an autistic person for being born with the disability, likewise for trans individuals; you shouldn't bully them for disliking their body because they didn't get to choose as well. Autistic individuals are also regarded as being out of the norm, so it's not something entirely crazy for them to be trans or queer themselves. It really fits into the 'outcasts' and 'unconventuality.' Autism as a whole is a spectrum, and not everyone has the same experiences (obviously).

Anyways, sorry for yapping, just really wanted to share my views on this
