Check the user list, they usually promote links that are very bad

I want to hear from the community themselves on what ideas they have that can either decrease or fully wipe out the bot wave that plagues this site

The higher ups are still trying to find a way on how to put captcha on bdns

The admins have already set some stuff up and it's greatly decreased the amount of bots coming on to the site. Captchas will help with the bots, sure, but it will affect the switch users more as it could even prevent them from coming onto the site, or just put them off at the thought of waiting for it to load. The bots aren't really affecting us too much, in fact you seem to be the only one still caught up on it. Some users haven't even noticed. The best thing to do is report them if you see any to anybody in @browsedns-staff and then they'll change the pfp, username, remove any links and ban them. Just as it's always been handled.

@KiwiFarmsArkavel a captcha cant work on switch, the standard captcha for some reason has problems with the dns if i remember. putting a captcha would limit switch users on here... which is mostly why here exists.. id say itd be easy if they mae their own, most likemy what would be good is a sliding bar or a button thats in a random position, it would make it harder for bot makers to code. there also could be a "key" in the rules, that when we want bots to leave, we just change the code. making bot makers have to re-program the code. or we could add a puzzle with a set of random peices, a switch user can click and then click the spot, the puzzle is set from random peices from a sprite sheet loaded in maybe at the backround of the site on a diffrent layer.

@xenth yeah I mean what if we had some kinda random word generator right before the signup button and the person has to enter the word into a text box next to it or something 👀

@Laner2018 good idea, though.. these ppl smart.. we'd have to use an image, the text could be found and copied. so i think maybe a set of 20 - 25 images, and it selects 3 randomly. hence creating a randomized 3 word captcha. its like having a 3 slot number lock, except each slot has 25 digits. randomizing it is easy to code, selecting would be medium. and accepting that input could be kinda easy.. it also helps because that lock cant be brute forced, unless these guys have a program running 24/7 to guess..
