i just wanted to post a face rev because i saw everyone else doing it and i saw it as smth fun to post and i got called fine which made me rlly uncomfortable, im LITERALLY underage, i shouldnt have to explain that part, and in a relationship, it should be common knowledge to respect somebody's relationship and not make comments like that

dw it's not your fault though, it's pretty much by definition entirely the fault of the people who commented those weird things for those weird things being commented. There's a lot of really dangerous trends on the internet (like face revealing). I try to avoid putting literally any personal information on the internet (gender, age, names, etc) to avoid stuff like this. i hope you're okay, the internet really sucks.

I honestly am always itching to do face reveals because I enjoy seeing what people think of my style and such, but this made me a little weary. I am going to be turning 18 in November, though, so I might post something once I buy myself a phone.

@Luana.vasper DO NOT let random people peer pressure you into doing face reveals or revealing any other information you wouldn't feel comfortable revealing to any potentially dangerous person, it is not worth it and their opinions dont matter. I was like this before because I wanted people to see me for who I was, but strangers' opinions stop mattering as soon as you just stop caring after seeing a million shitty cases like these.

@UnpaidIntern Well, I used to do it all the time in a private server that I owned on disc. It only had my trusted irl and online friends in it and a few of their friends as well, so I was comfortable posting there. Now, I'm not so sure about doing it on a completely public forum, lol. Maybe if I make a chat group with my friends on this website in the future.

I never tell anyone my real name, though. I hate it anyways. It's dead to me. Only irl friends know it, and I've asked them not to share it online.

@Luana.vasper Yeah, it's mostly alright if you trust the people there and your identity can't be figured out using the photo (house in the background, any outside area because of geoguesser, an animal that is only seen in the specific place where you live, a menu at a restaurant that is only open in certain areas, etc.), or if you know every single person in a 100% private server irl (in that case everyone already knows everything about eachother so it doesn't matter).

@UnpaidIntern There were photos where I was at school or in my house, but nothing would be really identifiable about the background. Js a brick wall or carpet or smth.

@Luana.vasper you should probably be fine then, just be careful and make sure there is nothing recognizable in the background of the photos. Also make sure any photos taking place near your school or house dont show any significant details on its layout or location, like how many bedrooms there are, how theres this one closet right before you enter the kitchen, how the stairs circle around weirdly, how the built-in microwave is right underneath the right cupboard, how the kitchen has this weird specific z shape that literally only one house has in the existence of houses as a whole, etc. I wouldn't worry about it too much though, its very unlikely that any of the photos could have information that could directly lead to anything happening if they only show like walls and carpet. Some psychos just go full on death note when they see certain photos.
