Why do I not thirst?

I have never experienced a feeling of "thirst" that people describe. I don't get the concept. What is "thirst"?

Genuinely, what does that feel like?

I only know that I need water when I start to get signs that I'm severely dehydrated (i.e UTIs, painful dry throat and nose, skin peeling, headaches, stinging eyes, dry mouth, etc...)

Is this normal? Am I just ignorant? Or stupid? People describe a feeling of thirst like a feeling of hunger and I get hungry so I know what that feels like. There's no specific, daily feeling to tell me when I need water.

Like, I just forget to drink water if I'm focused on literally anything else. And I hate drinking. So I have no want to do it until I'm literally in pain. Is something wrong with me?

@Rorschach If I had rabies, I'd already be dead. I've never thirsted in my life. I am 17. Rabies kills you within a year and a half after being infected if you aren't vaccinated.

I have never frothed at the mouth and I have the ability to swallow js fine. I am not hydrophobic. I do not experience manic episodes or have seemed to have lost my mind.

It's just that I don't think this is a problem enough to ever bring it to a doctor. I live just fine without thirst. I just have to remind myself to drink. I'm sure other people experience it. My mom is like me.

@takis Diabetes is unlikely for my age considering the type that runs in my family. Idk what adipsia. I am almost certain that I have ADHD so
