Why do I Iike g0re...?

I feel like g0re isn't something that should interest me.

Something is wrong with me...

I enjoy drawing it, reading it, and watching it- (fake depictions of it in media)

It's a bit concerning that I like blood and body parts this much.

Whenever I see it, it just grabs my attention and sucks me in. Why is blood red so nice? Why do I like exposed organs? Why do I feel entertained by something that looks painful? What is my brain instinctively liking about it?

I don't understand. I guess I'm sick.

@Luana.vasper I’m very sorry you’re feeling the way you are. Have you tried to reach to a therapist, counselor, parent or anything?

It’s normal to have urges and intrusive thoughts that coincide with violence and g0re and stuff and want to watch those things especially if you have something like OCD due to the intrusive thoughts and actions that come along with the disorder. Have you ever showed any signs of ODC or been tested for it before? That could be one of the reasons you are infatuated with something like this seemingly unwillingly :(

@rynniebot I don't really have much in the way of someone to discuss this with. My parents would try to exorcise me, I don't attend school or anything so no counselors, and my parents believe therapists are satanic, so by proxy, I have no way to get one.

I don't think my draw to g0re is necessarily a symptom of a mental problem, and more so a fascination with just the internal human body and my being always entertained by fictional characters going through pain. I have a weird liking for angst, in which I think I connect and live through characters as they suffer. Not really sure how that even extended to physical extremes, but I could guess that it stems from wanting to relate through severe physical abuse. A satisfaction at the sight of something experiencing pain as I have. I also have a fascination with things being frail and fragile, like they're on the brink of breaking.

Besides that, maybe I sot of relate it to someone being completely exposed and the rottenness on the inside displaying? (exposed organs and such) Like a metaphorical g0re. I have no idea. It's difficult for me to decipher what I truly feel, so.
