Anyone else regret and completely hyperfocus on any social mistake they make?

@UnpaidIntern I do in a way keep a score sheet in my head and try to say what the other person wants to hear, and if they react well I celebrate, but if they don't I wish I would have never spoke. its mentally exhausting and no conversation feels genuine

@SweetLikeTarmac i'm trying to think of a word for "people-pleaser" that doesn't have a negative connotation (i hope I used the word connotation right) to describe like when someone just says what the other person wants to hear instead of what they actually want to say. I notice it all the time when interacting with some users on this website, but I can't say when they're doing it without it sounding like I just called them a slur.

@SweetLikeTarmac i actually kind of am being raised like that, but I only do that with my mom because she forces me to, like physically. I'm never speaking to her again after 18.
