HealthfulChat is an anonymous chatroom designed for mental health discussions. please make sure to read and follow their rules.

Mental health general resources

Crisis lines

if youre in a crisis, please dont hesitate to call a crisis line. many can be completely anonymous and some (like the Trans Lifeline) wont call police/ambulance without your consent.

Self harm care

an important aspect of recovering from self harm is harm reduction. many people try to jump straight to harm prevention which can lead to a medical emergency. before trying to prevent self harm (e.g, by taking away blades), you must first reduce the level of harm in the first place by learning first aid, when and how to get help, and obtaining supplies to treat your wounds.

this is a site for male SA survivors. the statistic is scary, but getting help shouldn't be. they have various links and stuff to help you get the help you need.

bumping this bc its September first and its awareness month, the 988 website has a chat feature and it refreshes a lot b4 you can get to the chat with a consuler, but i can conform it DOES work.

what i will say is, 988 doesn't have a good reputation. and i can speak from experience and say they aren't very good about responding (at least from the times i've tried to contact them)

but

it's worth a shot, you might get pared with a consuler whom actually cares :3 its still good to give it a try, you never know.
