Okay, so my mom and dad walk in my room to tell me both to go eat and so my dad can tell me goodbye before he goes to work (which, he rarely ever does, but that's besides the point). Anyways, I have this little poster thingy with all my special interest and everything I made in a class a little while back and had barely put up on my wall. It has a frame from an important scene from a movie, Mysterious Skin.

Anyways, as soon as my dad walks in, my mom starts telling him to check out the poster, which weirded me out a little because she said it so proudly for some reason 😭 like of ALL things she's proud of me doing, it's a shitty poster I made in computer science. Ehhhsshhswjw

My dad looks at the poster and the FIRST thing he notices is the picture of the characters Neil and Brian holding each other, and he goes: "..You like little blonde haired boys???" In a weirdass tone 😭 Obviously I told him no, and kept saying that it was from a movie.

My mom randomly jumps in and blurts out that it's the The Outsiders.

Uhm. Mind you, she wholeheartedly said this and she watched the movie only a couple weeks ago. I mean, I like the movie, don't get me wrong, but I don't like it enough to put a wholeass frame of it 💔 the characters don't even look alike either brah 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

I'm kinda glad she did this because the movie I really put is kinda heavy on its subject matter and they don't know it, I don't think. So I don't wanna explain the plot to them and have the possibility of them getting upset. It's not that I can't watch stuff made for like- older audiences, I guess is the best way to say it, it's just that the movie's subject matter itself is what they'd be "interested" about.

I dunno, just something that happened and I thought it was funny 🥹

last year my grandma got me a bunch of rainbow stuff (I have a June birthday btw) and she's like, in her 50's or early 60's so idrk if I just seem gay as sh!t and she was tryna show "support" or whatever. or if she's out of touch and bought a bunch of rainbow stuff bc there was a bunch of it in stores at the time 🥀
