i've only personally seen two negative like, video essays on it, one complained it was too edgy and the other one was pearl clutching at a disturbing aspect of the show. i've literally seen more positive reviews of the show than negative, and while I wouldn't call it nechie, it's obscure enough most crash out moral high ground anime fans wouldn't know what the hell it was

Not something too long but long enough to where I could spend a reasonable amount of time watching it...
It just seems like you gotta worry about more shit now like controversies to the point where you can't even watch the show without being called out for some BS
I like absurdly dramatic shows, sometimes dark or supernatural, like JoJo and Yu-Gi-Oh! to name the big 2. But things like Hellsing or Evangelion are pretty good too.
I probably like absurd stuff because I spent my single digits watching Power Rangers way too much. There's a fun fact for the masses.
