You don't get to be sorry
You don't get to know about
The nights I cried into my pillow
Wishing the silence would swallow me whole
Or the mornings I woke up dreading
Another day
You don't get to know about the cracks
I've sealed with trembling hands
The smile I force myself to fake
You were the storm that ripped through
My life
Leaving wreckage behind and now
You stand on the shore
Watching the tide roll back,
Acting like you didn't drown me in it
You don't get to know about the nights
I was left gasping for air
Trying to find my breath while
You thrived on the life
You drained out of me
I was the wilted flower under the weight
Of your indifference
But you don't get to know how
I bloomed again
How I rose from the hell you put me through

(this was probably the worst one i wrote so far
