We may revert this change soon, as I also find the categories view to be a little hard to navigate. But in the mean time, you can change your personal settings to default to "Recents", under Settings:

Just say that it is helpful to you, ask for support and leave it at that, no need to tell us that you're selfharming or planning to commit [censored] in a public post. Asking for support or guidance is one thing but we shouldn't be posting that in a thread. Just keep this in mind moving forward.

instead of reverting the changes we should get an option in the entrance menu where we turn on the new menu or the old menu somewhere in the top right or left in the screen
