@w1ckedsticky1983 theres nothing wrong with considering it to be a disorder and i feel like that fact doesnt invalidate trans ppl bc what they feel is very much real and like i mentioned earlier i respect ppls pronouns and am not transphobic, i just dont get why it isnt recodnized as a disorder to be accepted

i think there would be less transphobia if we as a society acknowledged it for what it is and non-trans ppl would be able to understand it better which is the first step to being tolerant towards it and more accepting bc the way its viewed/talked about is just more confusing for non-trans folk and its contradicting

and like i mentioned earlier alot of non-trans ppl claiming to be trans is diluting its meaning, like i said being a feminine guy who even wheres dresses maybe doesnt make you trans, its a actual mental disorder real people experience and now its just a label ppl use to be a part of community

and once again this is why i wish they were separate from us bc it rlly should be its own thing

@_Izzy_ I dunno, I'm just a bit confused on what you mean. I can understand your ideology to an extent, but if we're going to view it as a mental disorder, then the first steps for transphobic attitudes to dissipate would be to destigmatize mental health as a whole. Majority of people don't take mental health that seriously, believe it or not. If we wanted to normalize it, the best approach would be to just frankly educate people and discuss about what it means in general.

Also, this statement: "my point was ppl who just say theyre trans bc the dont conform to societies expectations of their gender but dont 'feel' like a different gender just arent actually trans TvT theres just labelling themselves as such but theres no meaning behind it, if you dont feel like or want to be another [censored] then u are, (dont have gender dysphoria) then you arent trans," just feels immensely transphobic because you're practically saying that being transgender or other indenities alike
shouldn't be valid because you personally deem it as a disorder itself. You're trying to claim that because you identify as a different gender, it doesn't matter because in the end you aren't. Generally, if you don't identify with your birthgiven gender, you fall under the transgender umbrella term. I don't get wym by "it has no meaning behind it."

It's just strange to me how you claim that there's a certain requirement for being transgender that makes you valid. As far as I'm aware, you never really struggled with your identity, seeing as how you present yourself as very feminine and embrace your birth sexuality.
