omg i just realized the only reason my goat Ryme from pokemon gets no attention despite being an AMAZING poc design is bc shes a older lady and ppl find characters like Nessa more sexualally appealing and that actually makes me a lil sad

@Ⴑohnny.ƧƧ I agree but most/a lot of fetishization from somebody comes because they care while not everyone for something to be like that usually you'd end up watching the show thinking the characters amazing then it turns into fetishization maybe not for every case but more common then just pulling up a random anime character

not that its okay but like theres no way to stop it so try not to get too angry otherwise youll be like permanently pissed off with the sheer number of issues we have in the world right now

take Kaaatie for example, her content was sexualized BRUTALLY and I lowk felt bad for her but most of that sexualization is mostly from the greasy lakes of reddit and toxic environments of twitter

We're talking about how representation in media (like different races, sexualities, ect.) is usually only popular when it's sexualized (like all the most popular poc pokemon characters being vry sexualized in the fandom, or johnny's Brazilian miku example) but yeah celebrities face a simular thing, most famous females and some men are heavily sexualized, its vry sad

Kaaatie made this series called FPE, but apparently some people think most of the characters are hot n stuff and it all led to this disastrous period of time where it got so bad to the point where Kaaatie disappeared from the internet (she was 16 when she launched FPE back in 2024)

anyways i think gay representation is stupidly fetishized, even popular gay ships are usually more abt ppl just wanting them to be gay just for the sake of it rather then the characters actually being compatible (a good example is the trash ship that is bakugo x deku)
