robot took my order today.....

went to wendeys today, was going through the drive through and instead of a persons voice it was like a automated thing that took my order, ts scared tf outta me TvT

are yall wendeys doing this too??? the ppl at the window still gave me the food, but pretty soon it might be a robot doing that too TvT

my dad said its better this way but i disagree, we live in a time were casual social interaction is underrated and id rather have a real person take my order, the ai thing just feels uncanny and lazy, why are we giving people less opportunities to interact with eachother? isnt that what being human is all about?

they prolly only did it to save money so they can pay less employees

I cant even stand talking to a stranger, ik it takes a job away from somebody else but if I did eat fast food.... i'd prefer this, like most of my generation, I have no social skills, no irl friends, and I never interact with anyone my own age. its pathetic, but its just how the world is nowadays

in my case, I was ''homeschooled'' and socially isolated for much of my life. if you could say my mom was strict to the point I never had an opritonity. but for most people its a different story

@Yanderemenhera giving ppl less chances to talk to ppl will only make it worse, more people will continue to grow to lack basic social skills,which will only weaken our already divided society

i get why you prefer this, its more comfortable for you, but not to be THAT person, but all this over convenience will only make people weak and vulnerable and overly reliant on either the government or big companies

i know it seems like its not that deep rn but society is genuinely degrading bc of this

I think COVID also caused people to not know how to interact with eachother. the lasting effects of the pandemic have less to do with the virus, but a generation who genuinely couldn't social develope

@Yanderemenhera a good third space is card/collectable stores
the one near my house has ppl who come hang every Saturday to chat and game and its a great community and collecting is a fun hobby that inherently encourages socializing! plus its nice to be a part of a REAL community irl!

@_Izzy_ I think playgrounds are great for kids (3-11) they give kids a fun, free place to play with eachother

I say 3-11 bc any younger and they might be too small for the play ground equipment, but as they enter there teens, it becomes too small for them, plus its tabbo
