in my case, I was ''homeschooled'' and socially isolated for much of my life. if you could say my mom was strict to the point I never had an opritonity. but for most people its a different story

@Yanderemenhera giving ppl less chances to talk to ppl will only make it worse, more people will continue to grow to lack basic social skills,which will only weaken our already divided society

i get why you prefer this, its more comfortable for you, but not to be THAT person, but all this over convenience will only make people weak and vulnerable and overly reliant on either the government or big companies

i know it seems like its not that deep rn but society is genuinely degrading bc of this

I think COVID also caused people to not know how to interact with eachother. the lasting effects of the pandemic have less to do with the virus, but a generation who genuinely couldn't social develope

@Yanderemenhera a good third space is card/collectable stores
the one near my house has ppl who come hang every Saturday to chat and game and its a great community and collecting is a fun hobby that inherently encourages socializing! plus its nice to be a part of a REAL community irl!

@_Izzy_ I think playgrounds are great for kids (3-11) they give kids a fun, free place to play with eachother

I say 3-11 bc any younger and they might be too small for the play ground equipment, but as they enter there teens, it becomes too small for them, plus its tabbo

@Yanderemenhera the pandemic was half a decade ago,many people who still larp on it are just using it as a cop out tbh,highschoolers that were children when the pandemic was happening have a perfectly fine time socializing so it feels hella lazy for anyone above the age of 19 to use it as an excuse

• Youth groups / clubs
• Art studios / maker spaces
• Gaming cafés

• Local events / festivals

These aren’t even expensive (as somebody living in a house that can barely afford rent or basic necessities) so I never got the idea that 3rd spaces are dead

@Yanderemenhera i dont want to say covid is a myth because i know it affected a lot of people medically, my grandma included, but i believe it was definitely mad by the government to make money or sum. anyways... all that said, why we talking about covid? that was like forever ago. its over. stop thinking about it. move on. saying all that sounds mean and im not tryna be mean but it just bugs me when people talk about it.... its over, stop thinking about it.
