On Switch the home option disappearing is not the same as the sidebar coming back for others, since platforms often get fixes on different schedules. If it used to be just the home button and now it takes extra steps, that sounds like a layout change rather than a full outage. Worth reporting the exact steps you take so it is not lumped in with already-resolved reports.
