the fact i feel like ts is a hot take is pathetic but, idgaf if you're mentally ill if you're doing terrible unspeakable things to other guy that doesn't justify or excuse it. idgaf if you're a minor and doing it to other minors it doesn't make it fucking ok. and this sort of mentality leads to enabling, i've seen ts happen first hand. it makes me sick that i've seen adults coddle people who do this. if they did it to a girl i have a feeling they might feel differently and that too is beyond vile.

I quite literally agreed with what @_Izzy_ said. However, I'm just trying to present the problem that males are also targets of this behavior. I don't wanna start some kind of debate or whatever, but the kind of mindset you carry is the reason why many male victims are invalidated. This isn't supposed to come off as me pretending to be pretentious and fake-nuanced, but to shed light on an actual issue going unnoticed- there's a plethora of Male deepfakes that circle the internet, I've come across plenty. I'm not saying that women aren't a sole target for this disgusting behavior either. Both genders face these issues

I AM a male victim of assault, so if we really want to go band-for-band on this topic, I have a reason and motivation to speak on it. You can focus on women’s experiences while still acknowledging male victims. Male victims are often invalidated by OTHER MEN. It’s largely a toxic masculinity issue.

Saying that women should be able to talk about how assault affects their gender specifically—just like men sometimes talk about their own issues—shouldn’t be seen as invalidating because it’s objectively not

I can talk about how skim milk is especially hated and still talk about how whole milk is as well
