i agree with this!! its really sad to see. i didn5 know that people didnt like Brazilian miku,, shes such a silly. i didn5 even know about the teto!!
BL and GL is such a rreally great example. theres wonderful woke stories out there that dont make it "omg look gays" but people make it weird

Like, it’s not even that those interpretations or stories exist—it’s how people suddenly “accept” them only when they can turn them into something weird instead of just appreciating them for what they are.

Brazilian Miku is literally just fun and creative, and the Teto designs had so much personality. It’s frustrating seeing genuine artistic expression get dismissed at first and then validated for the wrong reasons later.

And yeah, BL and GL can tell really meaningful stories about relationships, identity, and just… people being people. The ones that don’t make it a spectacle are honestly some of the best, but fandom spaces sometimes reduce them to shock value instead of engaging with the writing,the summer hikaru died is my go to example

Also, thank you for actually hearing me out on this—I really appreciate it. It’s nice not to feel like you’re just yelling into the void about something you care about,sorry if this seems melodramatic 😭

@Ⴑohnny.ƧƧ I agree but most/a lot of fetishization from somebody comes because they care while not everyone for something to be like that usually you'd end up watching the show thinking the characters amazing then it turns into fetishization maybe not for every case but more common then just pulling up a random anime character
